The club was formed by several parents that were taking their children to "drop in ice hockey" at Harvies, Saltcoats. the children all became hooked on the game and wanted to play competitive ice hockey within the league structure. The ice rink at Harvies does not comply with the Scottish Association (S.I.H.A.) guidelines who are the lead bodies within the game. We approached the magnum centre in Irvine for ice time for training and games, approval was given and THE PENGUINS were formed.  We now have five levels competing in the league at the moment consisting of  UNDER 20`S(THE DEVILS), UNDER16`S (THE PREDATORS), UNDER 14`S(THE STARS), UNDER 12`S (THE PENGUINS) and UNDER 10`S (THE SABRES). All of which can be seen on this site, use the links on the team pages to see the player stats, fixtures, MOM, match reports etc... The teams play at these levels in the Scottish league travelling as far apart as Solway to Inverness.
